The Best Airbnb I’ve Ever Stayed In (and 5 Others Worth Booking)

From Niagara-on-the-Lake to a tiny home in California — ranked with photos, links, and notes.

I’ve stayed in dozens of Airbnbs across 3 continents.
Most were fine.
These six? They made me feel something.
Ranked from unreal to still pretty great. With links.
Includes links, notes, and who each one is perfect for.

#1 – 🇨🇭 Chalet Jungfrau in Isenfluh,

Switzerland

Outside of Chalet Jungfrau in Isenfluh (population 40)

A quiet village above Lauterbrunnen.
Snowcapped peaks. Cows with bells passing by. Silence at night.
Renee and his wife were warm, thoughtful hosts.

We stayed 5 nights and didn’t want to leave. This is my favorite stay ever.

#2 – 🇦🇺 Mornington Hot Tub Hideaway – Victoria, Australia

A nice welcome from host, Glenn

After 10 hours in the air, we landed here to a bottle of wine, a bubbling hot tub, and fresh air.
It was our honeymoon. This spot made it feel real.

Walking distance to town. 75 minutes from the Melbourne airport. Super host. Super easy.

#3 – 🇮🇹 La Casa di Anna – Varenna, Lake Como

View of Lake Como from the balcony

Balcony views over Lake Como. Steep stairs to reach it. Tiny kitchen. No frills.
But once you’re on that balcony with a glass of wine in hand, everything else fades.

#4 – 🇨🇦 Studio Apartment – Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario

Airbnb Interior

30 minutes from the falls. Walkable town. Super easy to settle in.
Reminded me of my hometown — Chagrin Falls, OH — but surrounded by vineyards.

#5 – 🇮🇹 Cannaregio Apartment – Venice, Italy

Great neighborhood. Quiet, authentic, removed from the madness of San Marco.
The courtyard was peaceful. The walkability was solid.

But: hallway under construction, some odd rules, very few amenities.
It worked — but it wasn’t special.

#6 – 🇺🇸 Tiny Home – Somis, California

The Tiny home in Somis

Cool design. Beautifully built. But the comfort didn’t match the vibe.
The loft bedroom got warm. No blackout curtains meant early sun.
Still — for a quick one-nighter, it’s a fun experience.
